Scale Drawing/Figure Project - Using Proportions to make items to scale

     1. Pick an item that you use daily that you would like to recreate as an enlargement or reduction
     2. Decide whether you will be enlarging this item or reducing the size of this item
     3. Choose your scale factor (scale factors that are > 1 are enlargements for ex. 5/1 or 6/1; scale factors that are 0>1 are reductions for ex 1/2 or 1/4)
     4. Choose what materials you plan on using to create your item (examples: cardboard, Styrofoam, duct tape, paint, tin foil, plastic wrap, etc.) Remember you want this item to look as realistic as possible.
Items Ms. J has that you are free to have access to: scissors, construction paper, rulers, hot glue, regular glue, masking tape, access to laminator, black and white printer
5.The dimensions of your original object (be sure to also bring this object to class)
     6. If you will be working alone or with a partner (you cannot have a group larger than 3) **remember if you choose to work with other people you will be graded on your ability to work as a group

Grading Rubric
40 points- Aesthetics

Does it look like your item? Does it look realistic?
60 points- Mathematics
