Scale Drawing/Figure Project - Using Proportions to make items to scale
1. Pick an
item that you use daily that you would like to recreate as an
enlargement or reduction
2. Decide whether you will be enlarging this
item or reducing the size of this item
3. Choose your scale factor (scale factors that are
> 1 are enlargements for ex. 5/1 or 6/1; scale factors that are 0>1 are
reductions for ex 1/2 or 1/4)
4. Choose what materials you plan on using to
create your item (examples: cardboard, Styrofoam, duct tape, paint, tin foil, plastic
wrap, etc.) Remember you want this item to look as realistic as possible.
Items Ms. J has that you are free to have
access to: scissors, construction paper, rulers, hot glue, regular glue,
masking tape, access to laminator, black and white printer

40 points- Aesthetics
Is it done neatly? Does it look nicely put together?
Does it look like your item? Does it look realistic?
60 points- Mathematics
Did you use proportions correctly to find the measurements of your model?
Did you share your math written neatly on a separate sheet of paper to display with your project?
Is your work labeled with the units of measurement and the lenght/width, etc.?
